The 2025 Finnish Rogaining Championships will be held in the versatile terrains of Iitti on 30–31 August 2025.
In addition to the championship categories, there are also open classes (2h–8h, on foot and by bike), which are excellent for first-timers and adventurers.

The competition terrain is diverse, with an excellent trail and road network and varied forest areas. Controls include both easier points and more demanding hillside locations.
A railway runs through the area and may only be crossed at marked crossing points.

SM-Rogaining 2025,  August 30-31, 2025, Iitti
The 2025 Finnish Rogaining Championships will take place in the diverse terrains of Iitti on August 30-31, 2025. Excellent shorter race categories are also available for first-timers and other adventurers.
The competition center will be at Iitti's Ravilinna. Planning facilities, dressing rooms, toilets, showers, post-race meals, and hash house. Iitti is located between Lahti and Kouvola 130km east from Helsinki.

According to international rules, the 24-hour category includes the following divisions:
MO Men Open, WO Women Open, XO Mixed Open, MY Men under 23, WY Women under 23, XY Mixed under 23, MV Men 40+, WV Women 40+, XV Mixed 40+, MSV Men 55+, WSV Women 55+, XSW Mixed 55+, MUV Men 65+, WUV Women 65+, XUW Mixed 65+
Rules
The competition follows the International Rogaining Federation (IRF) rules.
Teams In SM categories, teams consist of 2-5 people who must remain together throughout the race as per the Finnish Rogaining Federation's regulations.
Teams participating in 2h, 4h, 8h foot, or 4h MTB categories can consist of 1-6 members. The team must stay together during the entire race, maintaining a maximum distance of approximately 30 meters.
SM medals will be awarded to the top three teams in the official 24h SM categories. Medals will also be awarded in the 8h SM MTB category.

SM 24h & SM 8h adds:
The mobile phone must remain switched off, sealed in an envelope, and protected from water during the race. It can only be used in an emergency. A phone without SIM card may be carried for photography.
GPS Devices / Multi-function Watches
SM teams will be provided GPS tracking devices. GPS or map-displaying watches and similar devices are prohibited in rogaining. If participants carry a tracking device, it must be sealed in an envelope for the race duration. However, Garmin watches supporting "Adventure Racing" mode may be used but must be declared to the race director before collecting race materials.
Insurance
Participants are not insured by the organizers. Each participant is responsible for their own insurance coverage.
First Aid & Withdrawal
Teams must be prepared to administer first aid for minor injuries such as cuts or sprains. A first aid station is available at the competition center.
For severe injuries requiring withdrawal, teams should call emergency services (112). For minor injuries leading to withdrawal, teams should contact the competition center's emergency number (provided on the competition map).
Prohibited Areas
Prohibited areas are marked on the map with a red raster. More details will be published in upcoming bulletins.
Punching System
(SM 24h & SM 8h MTB) The 24h SM and 8h MTB SM categories will use the SI punching system. The rental fee for the SI card is included in the participation fee. Shorter categories will use a mobile punching system, with further details in the competition instructions.
Hash House
The competition hash house will remain open throughout the event. More information coming later.

By March 31: 24h SM Rogaining €100, 8h SM MTB €100, 8h foot €50, 4h MTB €40, 4h foot €40, 2h foot €30
By July 20: 24h SM Rogaining €110, 8h SM MTB €110, 8h foot €60, 4h MTB €45, 4h foot €45, 2h foot €35
By August 10: 24h SM Rogaining €125, 8h SM MTB €125, 8h foot €70, 4h MTB €50, 4h foot €50, 2h foot €40
Late registration: 24h SM Rogaining €150, 8h SM MTB €150, 8h foot €80, 4h MTB €60, 4h foot €60, 2h foot €45
Late registrations will be accepted via email or on-site before the start.
Cancellation Policy
SM24h & SM 8h bike
Cancellations before June 30 receive an 80% refund. Cancellations between July 1-31 receive a 50% refund. No refunds after August 1. 
Other Series
Registration for series other than the Finnish Championship (SM) series is binding and cannot be canceled after it has been completed. However, the registration can be transferred free of charge to another person or used for future Tour de Roga events. Any transfer must be communicated in advance to the event organizer via email. 
Maps and Scale
The competition map scale is 1:25,000 with a contour interval of 5 meters.
Food & Support
The competition center will provide diverse food and support services throughout the event (hash house).
Media & Photography
Participants' names and teams will be published in start lists and results.
Photos and videos will be taken at the event. By registering, participants consent to the use of their images for event-related communications and marketing.
